Empowering the Egg Industry: Highlights from BFREPA 2024

Last week at BFREPA24, we had the privilege of engaging with industry leaders and showcasing Livetec’s innovative digital platform and services. The event underscored the transformative potential of data integration in biosecurity, with our demonstrations sparking meaningful discussions on how deeper insights into biosecurity and traceability can drive a more robust, secure, and sustainable egg industry.

Our platform’s ability to provide actionable insights resonated with attendees, emphasising its critical role in safeguarding operations and ensuring resilience against challenges.

One of the standout moments was a fascinating session led by Ashley Banyard on the epidemiology of avian influenza (AI). The talk painted a sobering picture of AI’s adaptability and the immense threat it continues to pose. Ashley’s insights served as a vital reminder that the industry cannot afford to let its guard down. Biosecurity remains our most effective defence against AI, protecting businesses, livestock, and the wider food supply chain.

The session reinforced the importance of proactive strategies, echoing Livetec’s commitment to supporting farmers with tools and knowledge to stay one step ahead. From integrating cutting-edge data solutions to enhancing biosecurity protocols, our focus is on empowering the industry to meet challenges head-on and thrive in an ever-changing landscape.

As we reflect on BFREPA24, the conversations and connections made reaffirm our dedication to supporting producers and advancing sustainable farming practices. Here’s to a future where innovation and collaboration drive the industry forward.
