Low pathogenic avian flu confirmed on poultry farm

Low pathogenic avian flu of the H5 strain has been confirmed at a commercial chicken farm in Mid Suffolk. A restricted zone of 1km is in place around the infected premises as specified in the declaration applying these restrictions.

Now is the time to ensure all biosecurity protocols are in place and that you have your up-to-date plan to hand.  Remain vigilant for any signs of disease and report anything suspicious immediately to your vet or the government agency.
